The Parish Nursing Ministry is comprised of health care professionals and others who have the health of our parishioners at heart. They are nurses, therapists, educators, and experts in the fields of health promotion. Some work in home health, elderly assistance, aging, hospice, general medicine, surgery, oncology, obstetrics, domestic violence and intensive care. They work to coordinate care for parishioners in their time of need.

 

The Nursing Ministry sponsors an annual health fair, workshops, Christmas gift bags for children’s homes in Houston, and annual jewelry sale to fund our projects. Also included within our Parish Nursing Ministry is the Prayer Blanket Ministry, where individuals from the parish crochet prayer blankets and we distribute them to anyone asking for them. 

Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month.  Anyone can join, no medical experience required.
